Moran Mor Athanasius Yohan I Metropolitan of Blessed Memory

Moran Mor Athanasius Yohan I Metropolitan, of Believers Eastern Church, had a vision to provide quality holistic healthcare in an environment where patients could find both healing and wholeness. Believers Church Hospital and Medical College, located near the church’s headquarters, stemmed from this dream.
Starting a hospital alone was not a sustainable means for equipping the people of India towards holistic health. Therefore, the hospital looked ahead to train young men and women for healing by introducing training programmes in medical, nursing, and allied health sciences. The medical college aimed to challenge students to serve in rural areas of the country that lacked proper healthcare, hoping they would continue to serve the nation after their training.
Moran Mor Athanasius Yohan I Metropolitan hoped that the hospital would not only meet the local need for additional hospital beds but also equip young people to make a difference elsewhere.

The past few years have been witness to unprecedented changes across the globe, in how healthcare is perceived and delivered. Believers Church Medical College and Hospital has strived to bring the best in healthcare to the most needy and vulnerable communities around us over the last eight years.
